As I celebrate my 10th(!) WhiteTable newsletter and the end of the year, I want to thank you for allowing me to share with you my thoughts and ideas on the challenges and triumphs of working women and the importance of showing up for ourselves. And thank you for your generous comments and sharing my WhiteTable with your friends.
I’m happily moving on to the new year with a [simple] 6-WORD CHALLENGE. Apparently Earnest Hemingway was tasked to write a short story in 6 words; and there are so many other 6-word challenges out there, such as writing a memoir, describing one’s life, summing up the pandemic, etc.
This focused and minimalist way of thinking is a refreshing change to my chaotic, survival mode that has defined 2020. So, whether you’re into vision boards, written resolutions/goals, journaling, or you are just a go-with-the-flow kind of person, I challenge you to come up in 6 words how you plan to just get on with it (as the Brits like to say) and get sh*t done next year.
(Please share with me your 6 words, I need some inspiration!)
See you in January!
FADE IN
EXT. DAYLSFORD ORGANICS, GLOUCESTERSHIRE UK - DAWN
The farm landscape is pink, purple, and yellow as the sun rises in the distance.
The combination of the rooster’s reedy voice and the cows chesty baritone made for a most appealing euphony.
"I wrote a six word story,” thought the farmer as she poured a bucket of spring water into the animal trough, wiped her hands on her muddy hemp overalls, and took hold of her favorite mug placed at the top of the fence pedestal. She looked out over the morning landscape, took a sip of her English Breakfast tea, and inhaled the warm summer air deeply into her lungs feeling Life itself within recharging and awakening all the cells of her body. Another Divine day. What a blessing.
